Koden MDC-2900 Series 19" Radar with Chart Overlay

Koden MDC-2900 series high performance radars, with radar overlay onto C-Map Charts. The 19" high resolution SXGA displays offer superb clarity & the new anti-reflective screens ensure it is visible in all conditions.  Comprising of he display and control panel, a choice of 6kW, 12kW or 25kW antennas are available.  A Black Box version is also available.

Radar Chart Overlay
The radar image can be overlaid onto C-Map charts when connected to a GPS and a suitable heading sensor such as the Koden KGC-1 GPS compass.  This helps to provide a clear radar image of coastlines, buoys and other features ensuring safety and easy navigation.

CFAR
The new CFAR function provides vastly superior semi automatic clutter suppression.  Targets remain easily visible when compared to conventional use of sea and rain clutter controls.

True Trail Function
Clearly identifies moving targets from stationary targets.  The display shows exact movement of other vessels like drawing tails.  Even when your range is changed, a new trail appears past drawing tails.  3 types of shape are available.

Built-in ATA - 60 Targets
ATA (Automatic Tracking Aid) or target tracking is fitted as standard and tracks up to 60 targets.

Built-in 254 Targets AIS Interface
The MDC-2900 series is fitted with the AIS interface as standard.  When connected to an AIS receiver, the radar displays information on up to 254 vessels equipped with AIS transmitters.  Detailed information such as Vessel Name, MMSI Number, CPA, Speed, Course etc can be displayed.

Six programmable function keys let the user programme their own commonly used functions thus avoiding use of menus and enhancing the operators use.

MDC-2900 Black Box Radars
A Black Box version is also available, the MDC-2900BB consists of the operator control panel, the antenna and the black box processor which is used in conjunction with user selected SXGA monitor.
