Dear David,

We finally managed to get afloat !! only a month late ( which is on time in

Tollesbury!)

As the unit flashed up with no snags , I plan to do the commissioning run next week some time and I will let you know how that goes.

Many thanks for all the help Jack has given my son Gary. He really appreciates being able to speak  to someone who knows what they are talking about and who goes out of his way to help!!

Kind regards,

Dear Mantsbrite Team,

Just to let you know that I've just received my VHF radio.  Thank you very much for fixing it so quickly.

Hi Louise,
I have received your user guide for the Lorenz gps device.
I can tell you I am very happy with it.
You are very kind to send it this fast.
Thanks for that. You are the best!
I wish you a good day.
Best regards,
Mars Stoelinga, Nederland.

Hi David
I got back to Burnham, and after a bit of late lunch plugged in the "Shipmate"!
It started up immediately and produced far better and much more detailed coloured charts than before. The false positions you set up came in and it was so easy correcting them.
Our position worked perfectly on the "Yeoman" chart plotter as well as on the other "Stowe" instruments, like showing position and distance and course to a waypoint.
I can't understand how "Loran" came up and ruined the previous set-up, but we'll be careful to avoid seeing it in future.
Thanks for spending the time and getting it fixed so well.
Regards to your dad, I've forgotten his name, it was great chatting to him and bringing up old memories.
Nice meeting your lovely dog, forgot his, or her, name!
Regards
Alan Soloway

Dates announced for Skipper Expo Int. Galway 2019

8th - 9th March

The 15th anniversary of Ireland's flagship commercial fisheries show will be staged on 8th and 9th March 2019 at the Galway Bay Hotel. The expo will showcase the latest fishing equipment and support services available to the fishing industry. Despite 'The Beast from the East' affecting the travel plans of exhibitors and visitors this year, it is hoped the 2019 event will be incident free.

The show organiser Sharon Boyle says: "The 2019 show promises to be busier than ever and it will be an event that represents a significant milestone in the show's development"

And before the dawn of a new Expo peeks over the September horizon, we would like to look back at the Expo in Aberdeen for being such a successful event. As Mantsbrite’s MD David Ash said in the July edition of The Skipper:

“A great show to launch our new radar with orders taken during the show thanks to the organiser’s pre-show publicity. The show gets bigger every year and it was great to meet our overseas customers. A very happy exhibitor!”
