Koden Technical Training Seminar

The Koden Electronics Company manufactures a range of sophisticated marine electronic navigation products which are marketed throughout the world. Mantsbrite is Koden’s exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland, and as well as supplying Koden products, the company provides a high level of technical /engineering product and application support to assist its dealers marketing and sales activities.

As part of a continually developing programme of such dealer support, Mantsbrite hosted its first Koden Technical Training Seminar on 10th and 11th July 2012, when 15 dealers from around the UK and Eire joined the Mantsbrite team and Koden Engineers from America and Japan at the Hilton London Stansted Hotel for two days of intense product training.

On day one presentations and discussions mainly centred round Koden’s radar products and technology with Day 2 covering echo sounders, sonar, AIS and GPS compasses.Mantsbrite Managing Director David Ash felt that this Technical Training Seminar had been exceptionally worthwhile, saying: “The expertise of factory engineers brings a new dimension to hands-on training for highly sophisticated products, and I believe that a better understanding of the features incorporated into the latest products will open up a range of new marine applications for many of our dealers. There is also a direct benefit to the end user as factory trained dealers can efficiently provide higher levels of service to their customers.”

Mantsbrite dealer Paul Williamson, from Commercial and Marine Communications in Kings Lynn, Norfolk said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the seminar; it was very informative and one of the best I’ve been to. There was a lot of interest in what was going on. The information gained was well worth while, and everyone had a good time.” David Ash concluded: “I hope we can host similar training sessions in the future with other product manufacturers with which Mantsbrite has exclusivity in the UK and Ireland.”
