New AMEC AIS products join Mantsbrite’s portfolio

Mantsbrite has added three new Amec products to its already wide-ranging portfolio. The first of these is the Amec Cypho-150S AIS receiver. The Cypho-150S can be connected to chartplotters, PCs etc. via NMEA-0183, USB or RS232. The remaining two are the Amec Camino-108 Class B AIS and the Amec Camino-108W B Class AIS with WIFI interface, both of which are supplied with GPS antenna, have an optional silent mode switch, NMEA 0183 / 2000 / USB connectivity and SD card data logging. Mantsbrite hosts Koden Dealer Training Day

As a UK Koden distributor of many years standing, Mantsbrite hosted a Koden Dealer Training Day at the Holiday Inn at Glasgow Airport. Brian and David Ash were joined by 13 of Mantsbrite’s dealers from across the British Isles from Southampton to the Shetland Isles.

Keiji Nishipa and Tomoya Aoke from Koden led the course which covered the current radar range, the new sonar products and the enhanced service support that Mantsbrite is offering its dealers.
David commented: “As a company, we have the highest regard for Koden products, and the range we offer includes radar and sonar equipment, echo sounders, GPS compass & GPS receivers. The latest Koden product to be included in Mantsbrite’s portfolio is the Koden ERS-S1BB Sonar, which is aimed at the smaller fishing boat where it was not previously possible to fit a sonar.“
He went on to say: “The training day was both interesting and informative, and was appreciated by everyone who attended.”

Mantsbrite celebrates 50 successful years

Mantsbrite is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2014. Established in 1964 by Brian Ash, the company has grown to become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of electronic equipment to the marine market.
Over the 50 years, Manstbrite has been appointed as the UK and Ireland distributor for many of the world’s leading marine electronic equipment manufacturers, and through its 175-strong dealer network now supplies leading brands, including Koden, David Clark, Scan Antenna A/S and LCJ Capteurs, to name a few, to both the commercial and leisure sectors of the marine industry.

To mark this half century milestone, Brian and David Ash are planning a series of celebrations, one of which was a dinner at the recent Koden Dealer Day. Further events and dates will be uploaded to www.mantsbrite.com on a regular basis throughout the year. David and Brian are very much looking forward to welcoming clients and friends to events in celebration of this significant anniversary over the course of the year.

Introducing the new Koden ERS S1BB Sonar

The latest Koden product to be included in Mantsbrite’s portfolio is the ESR-S1BB 360° scanning sonar, the unique design of which renders it suitable for installation on small fishing boats.
The Koden ESR-S1BB sonar transducer is installed on a pole over the side of the boat which both minimises installation costs, and maximises suitability for even the smallest boat. It comprises the sonar transducer, the sonar processor, keyboard and a hand held remote control, giving a maximum range of 300m and a 360° scan from an adjustable beam. The sonar can also act as a conventional echo sounder if required.
Cost and full technical details of the Koden ESR-S1BB can be found on the website and is available through Mantsbrite’s dealer network.
